About the authors/editors: Hannah Nieto BSc, MBBS, MRCS, PhD is an Academic Clinical Lecturer in ENT in the West Midlands with an interest in bioinformatics, thyroid research and teaching. Katherine McNamara MBChB, PGCert, FRCS(ORL-HNS) is an ENT ST8 in the West Midlands. She has a particular interest in education. Samantha Goh BA, MA(Cantab), MBBS, PGDip (MedEd), MRCS(ENT) is a senior registrar who is passionate about global surgery and education. She organises the West Midlands Introduction to ENT Emergencies course and is also a Digital Surgical Teaching Fellow, developing a postgraduate virtual learning environment for core and higher surgical training. Nina Mistry FRCS(ORL-HNS), MD(Res) is a post-CCT Otology Fellow who undertook her higher surgical training in the West Midlands. She has a keen interest in teaching and training and has taught on several courses for junior doctors. Nina is also an active member of the Student and Foundation Doctors in Otolaryngology (SFO-UK) committee which aims to raise awareness of ENT as a career and promotes education in the field. Shahram Anari MD, MSc, FRCS(ORL-HNS) is an ENT Consultant working at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. He works as a rhinologist and facial plastic surgeon with a sub-specialist interest in rhinoplasty and nasal reconstruction. He is actively involved in teaching and he regularly teaches on different courses.
